Lovely lace!
This stunning, near mint condition antique Victorian christening gown has the sweetest daisy detail hand sewn on the front. Complementing it is the delicate, very fine handmade lace throughout the gown. The maker would have been very highly skilled to achieve such intricate lace, as such it's possible the gown is French or utilized French textiles. This is a very rare example of Victorian finery, and even more rare to be in such good condition. Ready to be displayed and treasured for another 100 years!
Provenance: From the collection of a Civil War historian, all his antiques were mid 19th century and cared for in accordance with museum standards.
Condition: Near mint antique. A few tiny tears near the bottom, one tear at the seam on the side.
