Antique Victorian Young Boy's Shirt Top Jacket with Note
We purchased this at an Amish Auction in Lancaster County and the note that was pinned to it is in photo 3. It reads "Very Old This coat was my sister-in-laws grandfathers. She is now 94 ~ Must be 150 years or so". We do not have the name however of the person just the note.
As for condition it is very nice shape other than the staining. There is one very tiny pin head size hole on the back (photo 12). I tried to show some of the stitching (photo 11). There is a draw string at the bottom (photo 7). It has 6 buttons.
Measures 20" long from the back neck to bottom. Sleeve length 14" long. Armpit to Armpit 15". Weighs 10 ounces (prior to packaging)
I have not attempted to wash, treat or clean this. No bad smells.
We buy most of our pieces at auctions, flea markets & yard sales so we may not know the history of the item. We are not antique dealers, collectors or experts.  We describe the item along with any flaws and markings we can find the best we can.
