The Schonstedt Portable Magnetic Locator with Membrane Switch GA-92XTD is an extendable, easy-to-use, and portable pistol-grip locator. Its retracts to fit in its holster, for easy carrying and storage, and also extends for convenient one-handed operation and fingertip control
This makes it so much faster to search, providing both audio and visual indication of ferrous objects up to 16 feet underground. It"s even optimized for locating water and gas valves, manhole covers, and other deep iron or steel objects. It is also equipped with a membrane switch, a precision signal strength indicator, and provides easy access to the 9-volt battery when replacement is needed.
